The IOP provides pathways for students to activate their interest in public service. Through workshops, free treks and student-led leadership programs, students develop the tools to become leaders, advocates and public servants.

UChiVotes

UChiVotes is a student-led, non-partisan civic engagement group run out of the Institute of Politics whose goal is to increase voter turnout in the UChicago community. Join the movement and help us become the top voting campus in the country.

Become a Voting Ambassador

Voting ambassadors are in charge of mobilizing voters, directing students to UChiVotes content, and engaging their personal networks and RSOs. Come to a voting ambassador training, and use your voice to help people vote!

Bridge

Bridge aims to connect UChicago students with incarcerated community members through writing workshops and civic education.

The Bridging the Divide public service leadership program brings urban and rural students together to listen and learn from each other, have productive – and sometimes uncomfortable – conversations that encourage students to break down ideological and geographical barriers.
